SOULFULL had a great year in 2015 as he established himself as one of Jersey’s best. He released a critically acclaimed EP and mixtape, putting both himself and his New Jeru Natives crew on the map. He’s back with a new single and thankfully hasn’t let his newfound notoriety go to his head, nor has it changed his style. Grind has the signature honesty and grit we’ve grown accustomed to from the Franklin, NJ emcee. The song is about hangers-on. Specifically, it mentions the all too common occurrence of people that don’t really help you out during your grind but want to reap the benefits once you've made it. SOULFULL doesn’t mince words in either of the verses and throws a curveball by singing his own hook. All of it makes for an effective song that will probably be a springboard for dude having back to back productive years in the game. Check out Grind after the break, and be on the lookout for Ramsey’s interview with SOULFULL coming soon. You can also catch SOULFULL performing at Tha Grey Matter show at Nuyoricans this Saturday.
