Listen: TIFY - Allen Thomas (@samohtnella) produced by @DannySwain; A Niles P. Joint

Growing up immersed in Hip Hop culture, I’ve come across a lot of underground artists I’ve loved and now that I write for WTM, I finally have a platform to help spread their music to a wider audience.  Allen Thomas exemplifies this better than almost anyone.  He first came on my radar as the frontman for the ATL rap conglomerate iLLmont around my early blogging days.  I reconnected with him a few months ago and told him that I’d give him an article for the next song he released.  I kept my promise as a new single entitled TIFY came out recently. Don’t think that this was a favor for a friend, dude earned his article as he came through with a dope ass song.
Produced by Danny Swain, Allen Thomas dedicates the song to a common rap foe: haters and fake friends.  The title is an acronym meaning This Is For Y’all.  This track is far from cliche as Allen uses his trademark humor to pepper his bars.  It’s a lighthearted take (with a singable hook to boot) on a subject that usually inspires more vitriol.  The twist pays off.  It’s still early in the year but this might be the best baseline of 2016, we’ll see.  Either way, this has the goods to convert the masses to Allen Thomas fans.  Listen and download TIFY after the break and be on the lookout for his upcoming project Little Earth, along with my corresponding review only on What’s The Movement.

*UPDATE*
Due to a technical issue with the stream we can't present the song on the site.  But you can still search via SoundCloud and enjoy a dope ass song.
