First time I remember hearing Imani Aray she blew me away with her verse on SUMMER NIGHTS on Quave's Practice EP. Ever since I've kept the Asbury Park emcee on my radar.Her new offering is titled Rejection. As the title suggests she takes us on a journey through her past relationships and how she's grown. I really love this classic No Scrubs, TLC sample looped throughout the track. I absolutely hate putting people in a box but I love Imani's voice. It has that deep tonality that you hear in some lady tenors like Beyoncè's talking voice or MC Lyte. Word on the street this is the first cut off her upcoming project Free Writing. That's definitely something to look out for. Rejection after the break.
