Mark Clennon is new to the WTM Radar. The Toronto-based singer takes new school R&B and morph's it into a signature sound with such a unique voice. That's what we hear in his newest offering, Don't Die.
Although he coins the sound Future Soul, the beginning percussion and melody sound like something out of the 80's minus a cheesy street organ. It's especially interesting considering he comes from Caribbean roots. Either way we love his voice and awesome wordplay in his songwriting. In time I think we all will fall in love with him. Word on the street is this is the first track for his upcoming EP, When The Smoke Clears. It's slated to release on the 19th. Keep a lookout for that and listen to Don't Die after the break.
