Listen: The B Sides - @HERmusicx

If you follow me on twitter you'll see that I've been ecstatic all month long. I mean Scorpio season is around the corner after all. Nah but for real, R&B has killed the entire month of October.

We've gotten releases from Sabrina Claudio, Brent Faiyaz, and dvsn to name a few and they all have been dope. Among the flame emoji caliber music is H.E.R. The anonymous singer songwriter dropped the video to Every Kind of Way from Volume 2.

She also dropped another new track with less longing and a more savage persona. The song is titled 2. In addition to the song she announced The B Sides were releasing to accompany the lead single. That day has arrived. The B Sides arrived in the form of a 21 track LP combining Volumes one, two and seven new original tracks in a different order than their original EP tracklist. The release kind of reminds me of how The Weeknd dropped Trilogy (House of Balloons, Thursday, Echoes of Silence). Within the new music is even her beautiful duet with Daniel Caesar, Best Part. When I first thought about it I was curious how she would do with an entire LP since we were used to hearing just short but cohesive projects from her. Would we get bored easily? Would the mood be too dark or too sad? I think not because track placement is super important and it'll listen differently this time. It is a new project after all. I'll leave that for you to decipher. Listen to H.E.R. complete and in stereo. The B Sides via the good folks at Spotify after the break.
