I didn't have time to really dive into the smash hit mixtape, What A Time to be Alive offered from Future and Drake. I wanted to do a short review of it and changed my mind. It's a good collaboration that broke the internet when it released. It's safe to say it's cool for those of you who like that kind of music. Not that I didn't like it but 30 for 30 Freestyle really stood out to me. Like the before mentioned songs, this track doesn't have a hook. In my opinion that's when Drizzy makes his best music. Unfortunately this is the only song that doesn't feature Future but it's the only one produced by 40. I love it especially because it samples and references back to Closer to My Dreams from his earlier mixtape, Comeback Season. You can really hear the growth as an artist as a man when he spends his time rapping and spilling his silent thoughts over a track with no chorus.
