Listen: The Curve - @StatikSelekt feat. @WESTSIDEGUNN @WHOISCONWAY @YourOldDroog & @TermanologyST; A Niles P. Joint

While Statik Selektah may have closed the chapter on his world famous producer/compilation albums, he reminded us this week that he can still call in some favors and make a dope ass posse cut.  The Boston beatsmith dropped off The Curve recently.  Juxtaposition is the name of the game here as the beat is cognac smooth, seemingly made for a lounge setting.  But Statik recruited some of the grimiest lyrics on the East Coast for this loosie.  Westside Gunn & Conway trade bars in stride, building their case for one of the best new duos in rap.  Your Old Droog makes it on WTM two weeks in a row as he laments how “Emcees is rhyming over beats that I used to hear on KTU.”  If you’ve listened to the radio lately, you can feel his pain.  Termanology closes it out, lyrically holding his own like Jamaal Magloire at the ’04 All Star Game.  Statik has chiefly mastered the art of harvesting verses from the underground’s toughest emcees at the drop of a hat.  Check The Curve after the break.
